To summarise the educational experience of the “One College Student Per Village” Programme proposed by the Ministry of Education (MOE), exchange achievements, identify outstanding models to serve as examples, and promote the high-quality development of the programme, the Open University of China (OUC) launched a series of selection and submission activities for the MOE’s “One College Student Per Village” Programme.

Recently, the results of the selection of outstanding alumni of the Open University of China (OUC) were announced, recognising 328 alumni from various industries across the country.

To build a high-quality "dual-competence" teaching faculty for humanities majors in the Open University, and to meet the development requirements of "innovative development", "high-quality" and "integrated collaboration" of the university, on 22 October 2024, the School of Humanities of the Open University of China (OUC) organised a seminar on enhancement teachers' professional competence within its educational system.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) held the launch ceremony of the joint initiative of “Happy Learning and Respecting the Elderly” on 9 October, 2024, at the Open University of China (OUC, aka the Seniors University of China, SUC).
