On 3 June 2021, the Open University of China (OUC) held a ceremony to launch its ideological and political education centre for teachers and students at Jinggangshan University.

From 25 to 28 May 2021, Hu Lifeng, associate professor of the Faculty of Forestry and Medicine of the Open University of China (OUC), and Dr Wang Di, were invited to Xilingol League Radio and TV University (RTVU) to deliver lectures to rural college students and conduct  special research.

On the afternoon of 3 June 2021, the Party branch of the Human Resource Department of the Open University of China (OUC) held an activity combining stamp appreciation with education in the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC), together with nine other university Party branches, after consulting and coordinating with the Newspapers and Periodicals Distribution Bureau of China Post, the Beijing Post Education and Training Centre, and the China Post Office on Yongding Road.

In the field of higher education, online education has attracted widespread attention and undergone rapid development, which has had a far-reaching impact on the reform and development of the sector. During the pandemic, the unique advantages of online education showed great potential and value for both teaching and learning, and it has greatly changed teaching and learning methods.

To guarantee network security for the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, and implement the requirements of the Ministry of Education (MOE) and six other ministries on strengthening the security of education-system data, on the morning of 28 May 2021 Mr. Liao Yunhua, an expert on business continuity, information security, and director of the Division of Network Operations of the MOE Education-management Information Centre, gave a lecture on “Network-disaster Preparation” at the Open University of China (OUC). About 40 members of the OUC’s 11 departments and units attended.

On 25 May 2021, the Open University of China (OUC) held a seminar titled "Providing ‘Smart' Assistance to Older Adults".

In order to deepen the study and implementation of the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the launch meeting of a campaign on Party history learning and education, executive deputy secretary Cao Guoyong of the Party Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) gave 12 OUC Party branches a Party lecture entitled A Fundamental Task Crucial to the Country and the Party on 27 May 2021 in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Implementation Plan for the OUC’s Party History Learning and Education Campaign.
