The opening ceremony of the Culture Garden of Guangzhou Radio & TV University (Guangzhou RTVU) was held on 7 December 2018, with vice president Sun Bin and other leaders attending.
On 12 December, 2018, a conference to promote distance education and launch a distance-education platform for elderly residents of Anhui was held in Hefei.

On the 16th and 17th of November, 2018, an academic seminar titled "Regional Credit Bank and Continuing Education", co-hosted by Shandong Radio and Television University (Shandong RTVU) and Qingdao RTVU, and sponsored by Beijing Century Chaoxing Group, was held in Qingdao.
From 1 to 6 November, a 2018 state-level senior seminar, Experimental Construction of Visual Artificial Intelligence Based on Big Data and In-Depth Learning, was held in the Continuing Education Centre of National Technical Professionals (Anhui Radio & TV University) in Hefei. It attracted nearly 70 artificial-intelligence researchers from across the country.
Changsha Radio & TV University (Changsha RTVU) is a new type of college for adult open and distance continuing-education for municipal and rural areas. Through reform and development, it has become a pioneer among Chinese Radio & TV universities (RTVUs), and a leader among these in Hunan province.
