On the morning of 9 November, 2018, the OUC held a press conference for the “Long March Belt Educational Poverty-Alleviation Project” at Sichuan Radio and TV University (RTVU). Topics included the results of the project in Sichuan, as well as the experience of Sichuan RTVU in poverty alleviation through education.
At 10:40 Beijing time on 16 November 2018, staff sergeant Wang Yatao of the 92118 troops met with experts in Beijing to finish the bachelors’ degree dissertation defence for the Open University of China (OUC) 2018 Autumn term on the medical ship, Peace Ark. Twenty-three non-commissioned officer students from the army, navy, rocket force, and armed police force participated in the dissertation defence.
On 10 Nov, 2018, the final of the fourth session of the Guangzhou Youth Computer-assembly and Networking-skills Competition, sponsored by the Guangzhou Education Bureau and Guangzhou Youth Technology Association and organised by Guangzhou Radio & TV University (Guangzhou RTVU), was held at the university’s Luhu campus.
Recently, a MOOC called Microsoft Office for Teachers, built under the leadership of Professor Wang Xinghui, president of Guangxi Radio & TV University (Guangxi RTVU), was selected from among 1,850 courses submitted to be named one of the 100 best MOOCs in China.
On the morning of 6 November 2018, Shandong Radio & TV University (RTVU) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Chaoxing Group. Party secretary of Shandong RTVU, Liu Longhai, delivered a speech at the signing ceremony. President of Shandong RTVU, Xu Wenmou, and Chairman of Beijing Chaoxing Group, Shi Chao, signed the cooperation agreement and jointly unveiled the resource production base built by the two sides, which was also attended by all leaders of Shandong RTVU.
On 7 November,2018, Guangzhou Radio & TV University (Guangzhou RTVU) held its 5th Chinese-character-dictation competition to help students appreciate and produce Chinese script. A total of 30 students from different branches of Guangzhou RTVU took part.
On the morning of 18 November 2018, the Learning Centre of Shangyou County Party Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) held a ceremony to grant student subsidies to the "Long March Belt" Education Targeted Poverty Alleviation Project in 2017.
