From 9 to 12 October 2024, the Open University of China (OUC) held a training workshop for key personnel in quality management of the educational system in Xiong’an New Area, Hebei Province.
To thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Chin (CPC), carry out the directives of the National Conference on Education, enhance the teaching abilities of teachers of Preschool Education and Primary School Education within the open education system, and promote the high-quality development of majors related to education, the OUC School of Education held a teaching seminar on the majors of Preschool Education and Primary School Education in Hefei from 10 to 11 October 2024.
The Open University of China (OUC) has been actively exploring the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education and management, aiming to create an open, standardised, and highly reliable AI foundation platform.

On 29th September 2024, the Founding Conference of the Aesthetic Education Committee of the China Adult Education Association (CAEA) & 1st General Assembly of the Council Member Representative, sponsored by CAEA and organised by the School of Art of the Open University of China (OUC) was held.
In order to implement the guiding principles of the National Conference on Education, build a high-level teaching team for the new era, and support the construction of digital universities, recently, the Department of Student Affairs and Teacher Development of the Open University of China (OUC), in collaboration with its Engineering Research Centre for Technology Integration and Application of E-Learning, Ministry of Education, has held a workshop for enhancing teachers’ digital design capabilities.
To implement the relevant requirements in "Key Tasks of the Open University of China for 2024", further improve teachers' course teaching level, and promote the high-quality development of the Administrative Management specialty, from 24th to 25th September, the School of Political Science and Law of the Open University of China (OUC) held an intensive training session for three courses, namely "Supervision Science", "Urban Management", and "Social Investigation Research and Methods", as well as a teacher training for the Administrative Management specialty in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.
To support the development of learning resources at the university and address the needs of teachers for integrating ideological and political education (IPE) into courses, the Open University of China (OUC) has introduced the "Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform."
On 30th Sept. 2024, to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the National Conference on Education, further serve the “Eight Major Projects” and “Two Actions” of the Open University of China (OUC), and effectively promote the teaching and research ability of the teaching staff, the Lifelong Education Research Institute of the OUC held the 2024 Academic Exchange Activity of Teaching and Research Ability Improvement and High-Level Project Incubation Workshop.
