Case Studies on World Open Universities (hereinafter referred to as the Case Studies), which was planned and organised by the Open University of China (OUC), is the first large series of full spectrum studies on open universities around the world.
The International Open and Distance Education Database was developed by the Education Research Institute of the Open University of China (OUC), with the aim of providing important information for the development of research and practices in international distance education.
Over the years, in compliance with the OUC’s work deployment, the Education Research Institute has taken the lead in organising and committing to various research tasks, such as projects and major research at the national, provincial, and ministerial levels, and key OUC research projects. It focuses on promoting the application of research results in the formulation of working guidelines and policies, as well as in the OUC’s practical work, in order to provide effective intellectual support for the development of education in the OUC.
