To promote nationwide reading activities, the Seniors University of China (SUC) has curated high-quality reading resources and established a platform for enjoyable reading.

The Seniors University of China (SUC) held the first "Reading Campus" Culture and Art Festival at Weigongcun Campus on 21 April 2023, in response to the country’s National Reading Campaign.

To implement the Communist Party of China’s (CPC) call to promote reading, guide staff to enjoy reading, read good books and be good at reading, the Open University of China (OUC) launched a book sharing activity hosted by the leader of the university on 18 April 2023, as part of the OUC Reading Month.

On 18th April 2023, a delegation led by Zhan Cangzhou, the president of Xiamen Senior-Citizen University, and Tang Ning, the president of Xiamen Open University, visited the Seniors University of China (SUC), also known as the Open University of China (OUC), for an investigation.

On 21st March 2023, after being established for only 18 days, the first class of the Seniors University of China (SUC) officially began.

On 20th April 2023, China celebrated the traditional solar term "Grain Rain," which is also the 14th UN Chinese Language Day. The OUC and the China Printing Museum jointly held the 2nd "UN Chinese Language Day" event. Fan Xianrui, vice president of the OUC, and Cai Fengjuan, deputy curator of the China Printing Museum, attended the event and delivered speeches.

On the morning of 15th April 2023, at 10:00 am, the "OUC Open Lectures • National Security Education Open Course" was broadcasted on China Central Television (CCTV).

On 14 April 2023, a delegation from the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) visited the Open University of China (OUC, also known as the Seniors University of China or SUC) on a research and exchange trip.
