The open education teaching model embodies the quasi-separation of teaching and learning. The 2015 China Educator Annual Meeting & China Good Education Grand Ceremony recently took place at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Qin Junling, Vice President of the OUC School of Xizang, was awarded "2015 China Teacher of the Year." She is reportedly the first teacher in Tibet to win the award.
In accordance with the OUC and Tibet University’s agreement to jointly build an OUC School of Xizang during the “12th Five-Year Plan,” the OUC has recently begun developing five courses to assist the School of Xizang.
