On 10th and 11th October, 2017, the Open University of China’s (OUC) law major held its annual meeting in Zhuhai. The theme of this annual meeting is "Teaching Reform of OUC’s Law Major and the Development of Key Majors".

She noted that she would devote herself to systematic research and learning experiences, and fully leverage them by consciously integrating course development into teaching reform. She asked everyone to combine scientific exploration of the “Six-Network Integration” learner development model, actively participate in the strategic transformation of the OUC education system, and educational and teaching reform of the law major, so as to fundamentally and extensively promote the core competitiveness of the OUC law major’s education and teaching system.
Liu Jingduo made a speech titled An Open Teaching Ecosystem for Law Major. Ye Zhihong delivered a speech on The Basic Ideas of Teaching Reform and Key Major Development, which provided new theoretical direction, as well as teaching reform guidelines from different perspectives and on varying aspects. During the conference, the challenges and prospects for the construction of key disciplines of law were also introduced, and the work of the law major subcommittee under the OUC’s Bachelor’s Degree Evaluation Committee was reported.
