The “Going Global” series of books of “Chinese for Industries”, featuring Chinese for vocational skills, was published recently.

While celebrating the release of the comprehensive reform plan, it is necessary to reflect on whether we are able to bring a respectable open university into the third decade of the 21st century and whether we are able to develop said university into one with high teaching quality, a good teaching level, and education that satisfies the needs of the people.

On 12 November 2020, the first Veterans Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition, sponsored by China’s Ministry of Veterans Affairs, ended in Guangzhou.

For Dangzhen Nima, a villager from Mangkang Village in Sichuan’s Ganzi-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, learning Mandarin as part of poverty-alleviation efforts in the village was so important that he  called the work group stationed there to apologise that he could not attend the third training session.

On 11 November 2020, the Qingdao Branch of the Open University of China (OUC) and the New Future Online Education Group signed an agreement to cooperate in establishing the Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB) certification program.

In order to implement the requirements of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the fourth and fifth plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, on building a system of continuing education that enhances the ideological, moral, scientific, cultural, physical and mental-health capacities of the people, the 2020 “Lifelong Learning for All” week, focused on the benefits of "Smart Learning” and sponsored by the MOE Department of Vocational and Adult Education, was launched both online and offline on 1 November 2020.
