On the morning of 20 May 2022, the Open University of China (OUC) held the opening ceremony for an online class to train educators of older adults, the 4th of its kind. The class will include three special classes and serve over 1,000 trainees.
The Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) organised a donation drive for low-income mothers following the 109th Mother’s Day as part of its efforts toward poverty-alleviation, rural revitalisation, and enhancement of the lives of poor women. The Open University of China (OUC) responded by mobilising faculty and staff.
20 May 2022 saw the opening ceremony of the Lifelong Education Platform developed by the Open University of China (OUC), marking the official public launch of the platform. OUC President Jing Degang and Vice Presidents Ju Chuanjin and Fan Xianrui attended the opening ceremony.

On 13 May 2022, the Agroforestry and Medicine Sub-committee of the Academic Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) held an online forum for doctors entitled "How to Develop Research in Agroforestry and Medicine at Open Universities".
On 13 May 2022, the 11th page of the People’s Daily Overseas Edition published an article entitled Recommended Textbooks for Chinese Learning, which mentioned the textbook series Chinese for Industries developed by the Open University of China (OUC).
On 16 May 2022, the Open University of China (OUC) held a second seminar to discuss the construction of adult education discipline projects that are entrusted by the OUC to external institutions.
