Love with entrepreneurship comes from his first unexpected meeting with “Happy Farm”

"Online Course Design" is one of a series of training courses oriented towards e-learning educators,jointly developed by the Open University of China (OUC) and the Open University, UK (OUUK). After only seven weeks of online learning, the course helps learners learn the basics of online course design, including designing a well-targeted, unique online course based on the learning experience of their students, so as to better respond to the challenge of online education.

In order to explore new models for e-learning and enhance teachers’ online teaching ability, in early 2008, the Open University of China(OUC,aka CCRTVU) and the Open University, UK (OUUK)jointly planned and developed the E-learning Educator Training programme.

Recently, a team led by Professor Hu Suyun from Hunan Radio and TV University (RTVU) was presented with Third Prize in the Scientific and Technological Progress Award for their success in developing an “automatic production line for the automotive motor rotor threading process”. Their work has filled a gap in automatic threading technology for electric motors in China, with the overall technology reaching an advanced international level.

In order to encourage the cultural development of the Open University of China(OUC) and promote Red Culture, the OUC Research and Development Centre for Digital Learning organized and held a symposium on “Educational Culture Highway Xibaipo - Beijing” at Xibaipo on March 24th, 2015.

To jointly explore a new training model for industrial workers based on the concept of lifelong learning, build a modern education system, serve the upgrading of industry and boost the growth and development of the staff, The Open University of China (OUC) and Guangdong Federation of Trade Unions have worked together to implement “Assistance Plan for New Industrial Workers” (Assistance Plan for short). Both parties signed the Agreement on Education Cooperation in Carrying Out a “Massive Training Campaign for Tens of Thousands of Staff” at the OUC in Beijing on March 25th, 2015.

Everyone has a dream in his or her youth. However, in some cases these dreams are never realized and thus finding a way to realize these dreams has become a lifelong pursuit for many. Stepping into the teaching building of the Radio and Television University (RTVU) in Qiqihar, the first thing you’ll see and hear is beautiful singing and advanced dance postures coming from the dance class. Through classes such as dance, music, electronic organ, calligraphy, Chinese painting, and many more, Qiqihar RTVU helps senior trainees to enrich their senior years and finally realize their former dreams.

On March 26, 2015, about 35 postgraduates majoring in medicine and law from Soegijapranata Catholic University, Indonesia visited The Open University of China (OUC). As part of their visit they engaged in a series of profound discussions and dialogues on the topics covering the development of Chinese medicine, laws relating to Chinese medicine, distance education in China, etc. Professors from the School of Arts & Law, Chinese Language Centre of the OUC, and Liao Fulong, a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Chinese Materia Medica China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, participated in the forum.
