From 5-9 November 2018, the Open University of China (OUC) held an advanced seminar on credit bank construction in Beijing. The seminar, sponsored by the OUC Credit Bank (Learning Outcome Accreditation Centre), attracted 75 Credit Bank leaders and staff from 69 accreditation sub-centres in China.

The third Asian Paralympic Games was held in Jakarta from 6-13 October 2018. A total of 18 major events attracted around 3,000 athletes from 43 countries and regions.
On 2-3 November 2018, the Scientific Research Conference for Radio and TV Universities in Shandong Province was held in Jinan. The conference summed up the scientific research that has been conducted in RTVUs throughout Shandong over the past few years and established and assigned tasks for the future.
It has been shown that in Shanghai, most online students are already highly educated. Recently, the Continuing-Education Student Profile was released at the Forum of Innovation in Education through Analytic Technology and Big Data. According to it, more than 53 percent of online students have received education at or above the undergraduate level.
