The 2022 National Lifelong Learning Week will be held from 20 to 26 Nov. 2022. During the week, the lifelong-education platform of the Open University of China (OUC) will launch tens of thousands of quality courses for community education and education of the older adults in areas such as travel, healthcare and shopping, allowing students to improve their quality of life.

In order to strengthen teaching at the Open University of China (OUC) and help foster virtue through education, the OUC held its 2,206th workshop for backbone Accounting teachers on 10 and 11 November 2022.

The Science and Engineering sub-committee of the Third Academic Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) and the OUC Lifelong Education Research Institution jointly held a training session on integrated teaching and research. Professor emeritus Guo Xiaoxia was invited to deliver the training, with about 30 teachers from the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Lifelong Education Research Institute attending.

On 11 Nov. 2022, the Open University of China (OUC) held a seminar related to its “Lectures by Famous Teachers from 100 Universities”. Its theme was “Smart Elder-care to aid Healthy Aging”, and it was held both online and offline.

Recently, the project “Fostering Digital Competency, Building Re-Employment Capacity, and Enhancing Well-being for Older Adults in the Digital Economy” for international exchanges and cooperation as approved by the 2022 Budget and Management Committee of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) with a fund of $140,531.

Recently, Zhu Xiaoqi, a student in the University for Older Adults of the Open University of China (OUC), was named a "Common People Learning Star 2022”, as recommended by the China Adult Education Association.

From 10 to 13 November 2022, the finals of the 8th China International “Internet +” College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held online.

Recently, a joint application submitted by the Open University of China (OUC) and Anadolu University in Turkey for an EU’s Erasmus+ project was approved, marking the first time that OUC has been granted a fund from this programme.
