The 11th Beijing Calligraphy Competition for College Students concluded at the Capital Normal University on 18 June 2023. The event was sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission under the theme “charm of calligraphy in Beijing” and aims to guide universities and colleges in the city to strengthen cultural transmission, innovation and their role in cultivating talent through culture.
To spread traditional Chinese culture and promote creativity in both the students and faculty of the Open University of China (OUC), the OUC carried out a thematic reading activity in cooperation with the Beijing People’s Art Theatre on 27 May.
On 27 May, the Experimental School of the Open University of China (OUC) held a welcome ceremony titled “Forging Ahead on the New Journey and Building Dreams for the Future” for the 2023 spring semester whole network education programme.
On 24 May 2023, a lecture to promote aesthetic education was held at the Wuhan branch of the Open University of China’s (OUC) School of Art, on the topic of “Writing Calligraphy with Happiness: A Talk on Calligraphy”.
