To thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, and to enthusiastically celebrate the brilliant journey and glorious achievements since the founding of New China, the Party Committee and Trade Union of the Ministry of Education's directly affiliated organs organised an exhibition of calligraphy, painting, and photography themed "Ode to New China, Striving in the New Era".
Experts were also organised to review the works. The faculty and staff of the Open University of China (OUC) actively participated in the event, submitting a total of 33 works of calligraphy, painting, and photography, among which 19 works were awarded first, second, and third prizes respectively. Additionally, a work titled "Ripples Sifting Sand, Beidaihe" by Wang Guochuan, an OUC faculty member, was selected by the Ministry of Education for exhibition in the central and state organs.
