Recently, a delegation from the National Academy of Education Administration (NAEA), headed by the Party Committee member and Vice President Yu Jingtian, paid a visit to the Open University of China (OUC) to conduct special research on "cultivating high-quality talent teams to contribute to the construction of China's educational strength with high quality."

Fan Xianrui, Party Committee member and vice president of the OUC, participated in the research symposium.

Fan Xianrui extended a warm welcome to the NAEA delegation. She emphasised that in the face of the new circumstances, tasks, and requirements of building an educational powerhouse, the OUC is dedicated to deepening the reform of the personnel system and mechanisms, implementing multiple measures to invigorate the vitality of cadres and talented individuals in their work. She acknowledged the NAEA's outstanding capabilities in personnel management and solid personnel services, and expressed hope that through this research, both sides could enhance mutual learning and reference, jointly providing a robust talent guarantee for the construction of a leading country in education.

Yu Jingtian noted that the OUC has made significant and effective efforts in strengthening talent team construction and enhancing the quality of cadre talent training, serving as an exemplary leader. Although both the NAEA and the OUC are teaching and research institutions, they differ in their operational nature and target audiences. It is hoped that this exchange will serve as an opportunity to explore the commonalities and distinctiveness of personnel and talent work between the two sides, fostering mutual learning, seeking common ground while respecting differences, and pursuing common development.

Responsible persons from the OUC's Human Resources Department provided a detailed introduction covering the university’s overview, organisational structure, team building, experiences and practices, and the personnel department team's profile. They engaged in in-depth and meticulous exchanges with the Human Resources Department of the NAEA on issues such as cadre personnel management, talent development, and incentives, jointly broadening the perspectives of personnel management.

The NAEA delegation also toured the exhibition showcasing the OUC's educational achievements and the "Opening a New Chapter for China's Elderly Education" exhibition hall at the Seniors University of China.
