In pursuit of advancing the integration of industry and education, exploring digital reforms and technological applications in finance and economics disciplines, and supporting the development of digital universities, on 19 March 2024, Liu Xuanxuan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Open University of China (OUC), led a delegation comprised of 18 individuals from the Faculty of Economics and Management along with the Department of Student Affairs and Teacher Development to China United Enterprise Management Group for research purposes.

Upon arrival, Wang Zilin, the Party secretary and chairman of the Board of Directors of China United Enterprise Management Group, extended a warm welcome and subsequently engaged in an on-site discussion with the delegation.

Liu Xuanxuan emphasised the OUC’s commitment to implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and actively executing the state education digitalisation strategic actions. Focusing on open education, the university has made positive and effective strides in utilizing digitalisation to promote equity in higher education, innovate higher education models, and drive lifelong learning initiatives.

Wang Zilin provided a comprehensive overview of China United Group's business sectors and developmental advantages, particularly highlighting the significant achievements in areas such as asset assessment, digital finance, digital commerce, financial and technological education, and the fusion of financial and technological services in recent years.

Both parties engaged in profound discussions and exchanges regarding topics such as propelling the digital transformation of education, pioneering innovative educational approaches, and fostering shared educational resources. They expressed their mutual commitment to further enhancing communication, cooperation, and coordinated development, deepening the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise collaborations, and innovatively linking the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, fostering effective connections between them, with an aim to continually drive the transformation of educational digitalisation.
