The outbreak of Covid-19 in Jilin Province moved the Open University of China (OUC) to donate materials for controlling the spread of infection to Jilin Open University (Jilin OU). On 4 April 2022, the materials finally arrived.

The Covid-19 rebound in Jilin Province has caused great concern in the OUC Party Committee as well as among faculty and staff. Learning that Jilin OU had been quarantined, and was seriously short of materials, the OUC immediately held a special Party Committee meeting to discuss measures and set up a special team to purchase protective materials, arrange learning materials, and so on, in support of Jilin OU.
