Stronger Manufacturing, Stronger China is a large-scale public-welfare video-lecture project jointly planned by the OUC and the Strategic Consulting Centre of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAS), and recorded and published by the OUC Audio-visual Publishing House. The project, aiming to "promote the concept of Made in China to the general public”, has Zhou Ji of the CAS as its consultant, Zhu Gaofeng of the CAS as editor in chief, and a number of other CAS members involved. This project is the second of a series, and covers the ten advantages and strategic industries in China's “Stronger Manufacturing” strategies, discussing the progress of these industries since the implementation of the strategies from a scientific, strategic, and forward-looking perspective. In doing so, it showcases the transformation of these industries from high-speed growth to high-quality development, and highlights their significance as models. The first volume of the project, Stronger Manufacturing, Stronger China: From a Manufacturing Power Strategy to the‘Made in China 2025’ Plan, was selected for the national “Key Audio-visual Product Publishing Plan” of the 13th Five-year Plan, and evaluated as "particularly excellent" in the performance evaluations of NPF Projects in 2018.
