On 15 January 2022, the government of the Shijingshan district held an oath-taking for district volunteers serving the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Sun Jiangtao, a representative of the volunteers from the Open University of China (OUC), was among those attending.

Ten OUC volunteers, together with 41 volunteers from the Lyuyuan Volunteer Team, will take part in providing urban services for the Games. The district's Youth League Committee has required a Youth League branch to be set up for the duration of the Games to assist the volunteers, and Sun Jiangtao, assigned to be secretary of the branch, took a solemn oath on its behalf.

All the volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in such a way as to reflect favourably upon the OUC, fulfilling their oath by practicing dedication, friendliness, and mutual aid, and showcasing the splendour of Beijing as the capital of China and host of both the Summer and Winter Games.
