In order to enhance the OUC’s “Poverty Alleviation through Education”programme in terms of technical training in rural areas, the Educational Scientific and Technological Bureau of Zhaojue County is introducing “Intelligent Box” learning software into villages and townships, and holding in-depth workshops on its use.

In the pilot version of the programme, nine towns were selected for substantial training of leaders and villagers in use of the software, with local cadres urged to organise at least two or three further monthly workshops for the villagers. Political awareness as well as Mandarin-communication, vocational and farming skills should be enhanced through the abundant and high-quality learning resources offered by the “Intelligent Box”, enhancing the capabilities of villagers and assisting rural revitalisation.
