On 17 May 2021, Beijing Polytechnic College held a ceremony to mark its donation of textbooks to an overseas higher-vocational college, part of initiatives to help Chinese vocational education "going global".

The college donated 50 sets of 7 English-language books to the Sino-Zambia Vocational College of Science and Technology, the first overseas vocational college independently established by China.

Wang Dongjiang, class-2 inspector with the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and director of the Division of Vocational and Adult Education; Geoffrey Banda, minister-counselor with the Zambian Embassy in China; Xie Chengjie, general manager of the Talent Centre of the China Nonferrous-metals Industry; Wei Peng, vice general manager of the OUC Publishing and Media Group; Shi Xiaohe, President of Sino-Zambia Vocational College of Science and Technology; An Jiangying, President of Beijing Polytechnic College, and vice president Zhou Yan, together with department heads and textbook editors, attended the donation ceremony.

Wei Peng said at the ceremony that educational publishing has the responsibility to pass on both knowledge and culture, and that sharing Chinese stories and disseminating Chinese voices remains the mission of all publishers. He believes that these textbooks will support training at the college as well as in Chinese companies overseas, and noted that the OUC Publishing & Media Group will also develop high-quality resources in Chinese, helping Chinese vocational education spread globally and provide the support of trained professionals to the Belt and Road Initiative.
