The list of 2020 Open University of China (OUC) Outstanding Graduates has been selected and 592 students have been honoured with the title.

Since the Notice on Launching the Selection of 2020 Outstanding Graduates was published in October 2020, OUC branches and their corresponding schools have been actively organising the selection and recommendation of graduates. A total of 592 candidates were recommended to the OUC headquarters. On 22 April 2020, the OUC arranged for experts to review the application materials submitted. Following the expert review and publicity process, the list of 2020 OUC Outstanding Graduates was decided by the OUC headquarters.

The outstanding graduates selected for 2020 are studious, hard-working, have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, and have made essential contributions to their community. They come from all walks of life and represent a variety of professions, including grassroots workers, farmers, teachers, police officers, medical workers, and soldiers from frontier areas, as well as leaders and cadres from enterprises and public institutions. No matter their occupation or position, they have all contributed to society and deserve public recognition. Many of the graduates have already received honorary titles such as National May 1st Labour Medal, National Outstanding Technical Innovation Prize for Workers, National Anti-Poverty Role Model, China Top Ten Loyal Soldiers of Armed Police Force.

The OUC hope that the students being commended will cherish and value this honour and take it as an incentive to work even harder in their future study and work and strive to make even greater achievements. It is hoped that other students will learn from the examples of the outstanding graduates and spare no efforts in aiming for higher goals and ideals in order to become high quality talents that can serve China.
