The Sixth China Construction Bank Cup Shandong Internet Plus College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was recently held in the province. After several rounds of selection, a total of 300 projects were shortlisted for the final. “Integrated Pathfinder for the Cultivation of China Famous Agricultural Products and the Development of Live Streaming Sales (the example of Xumeng Ecological Garden, Wulian County)”, a project recommended by the Qingdao Branch of the Open University of China (OUC) distinguished itself from the 90 projects in the vocational education category, and won a silver prize.
Two other projects, “Automatic Inspection and Alarm Box for Chicken Houses” and “Wen Quan: A French-Style Dessert Shop,” received the bronze prizes.
This was the first time for the Qingdao Branch to take part in the China International Internet Plus College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. All of the branch’s faculty and staff dedicated themselves to the organisation and training work. The Qingdao Branch set up a leading team for the competition under the unified deployment of the OUC headquarters and formulated a detailed implementation plan. Prior to the competition, the university organised a total of 549 projects to take part in the provincial-level contest. In the end, eight quality projects were selected for the provincial-level contest after several rounds of matches and reviews. The project “Integrated Pathfinder for the Cultivation of China Famous Agricultural Products and the Development of Live Streaming Sales” presented by Xu Jinmei and Lou Lianren from the class of 2019 won a silver prize for its excellent ideas and onsite performance.
