On the morning of September 11, 2019, a five-person delegation, including Liu Hua, president of Education and Vocation magazine, and Hu Wei, deputy director of the Minority Education Development Centre, Ministry of Education (MOE), came to visit the Open University of China (OUC). Jing Degang, secretary of the Party Committee and President of the OUC; Feng Liguo, director of the General Office of Party and Administration;

Wang Guochuan, deputy director of the Academic Affairs Department and executive deputy director of the MO Vocational Education Steering Committee Office; and Feng Lin, deputy editor-in-chief of the OUC Press Group, had a discussion with the visitors.

Jing Degang introduced the overall situation and development of the OUC, emphasising that the university should focus on China's Education Modernisation 2035, making use of its 40 years of experience, taking guidance from Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, basing itself on China's national conditions, and making the OUC essential to the country's vitality and prosperity.

Liu Hua covered the situation and development of Education and Vocation, and expressed his ideas about how to balance quality and efficiency, and promote the development of academic journals. The two sides discussed the content, distribution and marketing of the journal, and to cooperate more intensively in the future.

Before the meeting, president Liu Hua and his delegation also visited the "Internet + University" exhibition centre.
