On March 5, 2016, a HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) instruction training programme for domestic and foreign Chinese teaching instructors successfully concluded.
The programme, jointly sponsored by the Open University of China (OUC) and the TRAMPIL Indonesia Foundation, had 180 participants. The training fully utilized the advantages of distance open education, proceeding online and offline simultaneously and operating from several teaching centres located domestically and abroad, including Bandung, Surabaya, Jakarta, Pontianak, Pekan, Medan, and Bali in Indonesia, and Beijing, Xi’an, etc. in China. Trainees were Chinese-teaching instructors at primary and middle schools in Indonesia, as well as from colleges and universities in Indonesia and Xi’an, China.
Simultaneous connection at ten sites in China and Indonesia
This training is the 8th of its kind since the OUC and TRAMPIL Indonesia Foundation established a cooperative partnership. It is yet another innovative practice providing career support for Chinese teaching instructors both domestically and abroad, set against the new background of “Internet + Education.” Compared with traditional training programmes, this pattern not only used remote live broadcasting throughout the entire course, but also realized real-time interaction during Q&A and resource sharing between teachers and students, which helped learners easily experience online, face-to-face study of Chinese anytime, anywhere.
