“In the Government’s Work Report, Premier Li Keqiang has mentioned that economic growth shall abide by the law of development, and in line with objective reality.This is especially true with education. Only with less extra burdens, less interference, less indulgence, can the children grow up in a healthy way.” This is what Fang Qing, representative of NPC said at the group discussion with the Zhejiang delegation at the 3rd plenary session of China's 12th NPC held on the afternoon of March 5, 2015. She is also the headmaster of Jindong District Experimental Primary School of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Her speech entitled “Building a Firewall for Primary and Secondary Schools Against Interference” aroused great attention at the session.
Fang Qing graduated in 2006 from the Education Management programme of Jinhua RTVU. During the two sessions, many RTVU graduates contributed to the discussions. There were also graduates from the local RTVUs under the OUC, with their proposals carefully prepared to actively participate in politics, delivering the voice of the people.
Representative Xu Qiang is Deputy General Manager of Shengu Group Gear Compressors Co., Ltd. He is also one of those graduates of OUC. He majored in finance, and graduated from the OUC in 2004. In the two sessions, Xu Qiang recommended that China Securities Regulatory Commission under the State Council complete the listing approval of Shenyang Blower Group Corporation before the end of May this year, and promulgate implementation details on accelerating the listing of major equipment manufacturing enterprises in the northeastern region in the first half of this year; he also suggested that State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) strengthen their support for the listing of major equipment manufacturing enterprises in the northeastern region.
Representative Shen Qifang is the former vice president of Huzhou RTVU, Zhejiang Province. She is the incumbent president of Huzhou Farmers Institute. During two sessions this year, Shen Qifang delivered her recommendations for vocational education. She said that this year there are many top-level designs in vocational education and promising policies. However, the implementation of these top-level designs falls behind our expectations in the requirements of the development of education. She believes that even the best policies must be followed up with strong supporting policies.
CPPCC member Che Xiaoduan is deputy director of Shaoxing Municipal People’s Congress from Zhejiang Province. She majored in electronics, and graduated from Zhejiang RTVU in 1982. She made a proposal on how to improve air quality, making the sky bluer. She also pointed out that, to further reduce air pollution, we should improve the standards of oil quality control, accelerating the use of clean fuel.
