In my three years of teaching, I have been impressed by the work of the OUC. It is both advanced in its technology, enabling large-scale online education, and down-to-earth in its approach, offering high-quality lifelong learning to all, including workers and farmers.

After a decade through thick and thin, we are starting a new chapter today. I hope the university continues to build a uniquely Chinese form of open education, achieving great success as it serves lifelong learning for all and builds a world-class open university.

Ten years have passed in a flash since the OUC was inaugurated. The university has flourished, and so have I. I feel certain that individual growth cannot be separated from the correct leadership of the OUC Party Committee, the care and guidance of the leaders, the strong support of all departments, and the joint efforts of all their teachers. An individual's growth is integrated into the development of the university.

On the occasion of this 10th anniversary, I see the university resembling sesame flowers shooting high and a kunpeng (an enormous legendary bird transformed from a gigantic fish) spreading its wings!

The decade from 2012 to 2022 was one of rapid development and fruitful achievements by the OUC. As a staff member working in student affairs, I have seen the growing excellence of the students.

Looking back makes us proud; looking ahead, confident.

On this 10th anniversary of the transformation of the OUC, I sincerely wish it greater success, and a larger 'family', producing students who are not only knowledgeable but also determined in pursuing their ideals with wisdom, talent, courage and perseverance.

The last decade of transformation at the OUC has witnessed the steady growth of open education. The university is thriving, and the concept of lifelong learning has become widely accepted.

The older generation at the CCRTVU made pioneering efforts, and the new generation has sustained its gains. The mission of building a world-class open university is now with the young. We should enhance our "seven abilities" and strengthen our will by accepting ideological refinement, political experience, and practical training. In difficulties, we should step forward as leaders to face them.

We witnessed the birth of the Radio and TV University in 1978; the Open University of China in 2012; and the new chapter of the OUC Comprehensive Reform Plan in 2020.

In my four years of work, I have seen students of all professions and trades; heard that anyone can find a course at this “Internet Plus” university to suit them; felt the importance of building an education system "serving lifelong learning for all"; and been aware of the need to balance stability against progress during development.

We are to forge ahead on our new journey and make great contributions in the new era.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the inauguration of the OUC, the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the OUC Publishing & Media Group, and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Publishing House. These years have seen both the transformation of the OUC and the hard work of the OUC Publishing & Media Group.

Over the past decade, the group has kept national realities and priorities in mind, while putting social benefits ahead of economic, but not neglecting the latter.

This is easy to understand but difficult to act on. Over the past decade, we have progressed steadily and firmly. Both opportunities and challenges lie ahead, but the directions, and the indicators of progress, are clear, and the Publishing & Media Group will adapt to changes and continue to contribute to the high-quality development of the OUC.
