It is a great honour for me to share how I feel having studied at the OUC, and extend my appreciation for the benefits it gave me.
The OUC has developed considerably over the past decade, and at this 10th anniversary I hope it will make use of its experience to continue to do so.

- Ma Panpan, who enrolled in the Administration undergraduate programme in 2017 at the OUC’s Anhui branch, is secretary of the Su Zhou Belle Group League Committee, and deputy secretary of the Suzhou Shoemaking Industry League’s Work Committee. She has been named a “National Labour Model”.

My studies at the OUC gave me a deeper understanding of community work and enhanced my ability to serve community residents, broadened my horizons, and gained me the praise of supervisors and residents.

- Sun Qian, who enrolled in the Social Work undergraduate programme in 2019 at the OUC’s Tianjin branch, is now secretary of the Gangliyun Community Party Committee and director of its Residents’Committee. She has been named a “National Female Role Model”.

My heart-felt thanks go to the OUC for offering access to a wide variety of education, helping people change their lives. I offer it my best wishes for the future.

- Liu Jianming, who enrolled in the Horticulture undergraduate programme in 2018 at the OUC’s Zhejiang branch, is secretary of the general Party branch and the director of the Committee for Lizhutangdi Village. Liu has also been selected as a deputy to the National People’s Congress and named a “National Labour Model” and “National Role Model for Rural Revitalisation”.

I am delighted to mark my Alma Mater's tenth anniversary. Over the past decade, the OUC has been dedicated to its own transformation. Talented individuals have flocked to it from all over the nation, and with their training there have made great contributions to the development of China. As one of them, my gratitude to it is beyond words.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to it, and hope for even greater achievements.

- Sheng Wenbin, who enrolled in Horticulture Technology in Autumn 2019 at the OUC’s Zhejiang branch, is general manager of the Xinchang County Kenong Tea Specialised Cooperative and Xiangtian Agriculture and Technology, and has been named a “National Model Youth”.

Traditionally, people have believed that learning comes to an end when work begins. However, the OUC realises that learning should be a lifelong pursuit, and I am really thankful for what the university has offered me. I hope it will continue to have great achievements.

- Lu Yi, who enrolled in the Law undergraduate programme in 2020 at the OUC’s Anhui branch, is the first secretary and team leader of the poverty-alleviation mission in Tuqiao Village, Xutuan Township, Mengcheng County. She has been named a “National Anti-poverty Role Model”.

As a staff member of the Radio and TV University for nearly 40 years, I have been paying close attention to the development of the OUC since my retirement. Every important stage of it makes me excited and proud. Now, in particular, when I read the national guideline on aging (Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Strengthening the Work on Aging in the New Era) for operating the University for Older Adults based on the OUC, I feel a great thrill.
We have worked hard for this cause, and feel joy to be able to continue learning after retirement. We also look forward to seeing its course offerings expand into areas such as health care for the elderly.

Time passes in the blink of an eye. The scene of the OUC's inauguration in the Great Hall of the People on 31 July 2012 is still vivid, since I was witnessing a historic transformation.

I began working at the China Central Radio and TV University (CCRTVU) in 1982, and participated in efforts toward the economic and social development of the countryside.

I sincerely wish the OUC, my university, continued progress in providing lifelong education and services to all.

Over its decade of transformation, the OUC, a university based on the reform and opening up, has sustained its vigour and vitality. Whether in industry or agriculture, we "give work to the unemployed and contentment to the employed”. Through the ups and down of the past decade, we have shown respect for education, and made it accessible throughout China.

In the next decade, we will continue to work hard to develop the OUC into a university promoting lifelong learning via the construction of the “four major platforms”.
