On 4 September 2024, the Open University of China (OUC) welcomed a delegation led by Prof. Caroline Omulando, deputy vice chancellor of the Open University of Kenya (OUK).

On 27 August 2024, Fan Xianrui, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of the Open University of China (OUC), met with Dr. Guillaume Moumouni, president of the Beninese Students Association in China, and his delegation from the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin.

To enhance faculty members’ academic English writing and presentation skills, improve communication capabilities, and support professional development, the Open University of China (OUC) launched the 2024 Academic English Skills Enhancement Programme for faculty.

On 9 July 2024, a delegation of 24 overseas postgraduates from the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development (ISSCAD) at Peking University visited the Open University of China (OUC).

To propel the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance's efforts to a new level, effectively actualise the national strategy for digitalisation of education - which emphasises integration, intelligence, and internationalisation (known as the 3I strategy) - and to continuously boost the university's global influence, the Secretariat of the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance (hereafter, "the Alliance Secretariat") recently welcomed a 29-member delegation from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), led by the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development (SEAMEO TED).
