Li Suhuan, Han ethnicity, a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has been elected as deputy to the 13th and 14th National People’s Congress (NPC).
She graduated from Hebei Open University, majored in Business Administration (orientation of Rural Enterprise Management). She was named as a member of the All-China Youth Federation in 2015 and received the title of “National Labour Role Model” in 2020 and “National Female Role Model with Outstanding Achievements” in 2021.
Li Suhuan, hailing from a rural background, holds a special affinity for agriculture and rural areas.
In 2018, Li Suhuan was elected as a deputy to the 13th NPC; in 2023, she secured re-election to the new session of the NPC. Transitioning from a position of "leadership" to one of "representation," Li Suhuan faces heightened pressure but also increased motivation. She remains steadfast in her commitment to listening to the people and serving at the grassroots level, always eager to learn and understand through diligent efforts.
Fostering a thriving agricultural sector has long been the ambition driving Li Suhuan's efforts. "As a representative chosen by the community, my primary focus lies in issues concerning agriculture, rural development, and the well-being of farmers. Throughout my five years as an NPC deputy, my recommendations consistently align with these priorities," expressed Li Suhuan.
"As a trailblazer for village prosperity and an NPC delegate, guiding fellow villagers towards success is a responsibility I cannot shirk. Listening to the needs of the people, addressing their concerns, conducting on-site research, and providing insightful suggestions are essential duties that I must uphold," remarked Li Suhuan regarding her obligations.
During this year's National Two Sessions, Li Suhuan advocated for increased policy backing to enhance the living environment in rural areas, emphasising direct alignment with community wishes and needs to empower villagers and collaboratively build a more beautiful homeland.
