On 28 March 2024, a delegation led by Liu Xuanxuan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Open University of China (OUC, also referred to as the Seniors University of China, SUC), visited the Inner Mongolia Open University to explore elderly education initiatives and to officially launch the SUC Inner Mongolia Branch.

On 26 March 2024, the Open University of China (OUC) hosted an event to share and demonstrate the results of teaching reform practices, under the theme "Empowering Teaching and Learning Through Digitalisation."

Recently, the Planning and Management Office of the National Publication Foundation (NPF) announced its list of projects approved for funding in 2024.

To further promote the work of the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance), continue to enhance the university's international influence, and gradually develop and refine the framework and planning for the development of an international digital university platform, the Secretariat of the ASEAN-China Digital Education Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Secretariat) recently organised a needs assessment survey of the Alliance and a seminar on the development of the international platform.
