The review committee for the outstanding graduates of the Open University of China (OUC) recently reviewed the candidates for the "2014 Class of Outstanding Graduates of the OUC" and publicly announced the final list of award winners. 438 students were announced as part of the"2014 Class of Outstanding Graduates of the OUC".

The Global High Level Policy Forum: Online, Open and Flexible Higher Education for the Future We Want organized by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in partnership with ICDE (International Council for Open and Distance Education) was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 9-11 June 2015. Over 200 participants from 57 countries around the world participated in the forum. Mr. Yang Zhijian, President of the Open University of China (OUC) shared the university’s practice in promoting education equity based on information technology in the forum.
2015 marks the 30th anniversary of the graduation of the first batch of Liberal Arts students from the Radio and Television University (RTVU). Among the first Liberal Arts graduates, in 30 years, one student has established a conglomerate with the assets amounting to billions of renminbi and has been paying back into society with his substantial assets. That student is Wang Ruoxiong, a “National Outstanding Graduate”of RTVU”.

Gansu Cadre Online School was inaugurated at Gansu Radio and TV University (RTVU) on June 10, 2015, which indicating that new progress has been achieved in the reform of cadre education and training in Gansu province.
