Recently, the Qingdao Branch and Qingdao Tourism Group held a ceremony to sign an agreement on a school-enterprise cooperation programme and unveil the Qingdao Tourism Group Professional Training Centre and Qingdao Radio and TV University Field Teaching Centre (Qingdao RTVU).
The two sides will work together to explore a new model for training tourism professionals that combine production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and academic and non-academic education against the background of Internet Plus. This cooperation will create a huge driving force for optimising the talent structure of the industry and promoting professional training in the industry in the context of the deep integration of culture and tourism.
Under the agreement, the two sides will establish a long-term, comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship. The Qingdao Branch will make full use of the advantages of distance education and digital resources and formulate a talent training program that meets the needs of job requirements according to the demand of the tourism industry for professional talent under the new situation. It will customise a platform for degree promotion and non-degree continuing education for tourism practitioners, which will then lay a solid foundation for the healthy, sustainable development of the culture and tourism industry in Qingdao. At the same time, it will adopt a training model that deeply integrates industry, the university, and research, and strengthen researches and practice in related fields such as the research and education of trainers and elderly health care. Furthermore, it will jointly develop training projects and create a culture and tourism training brand that embodies the advantages of both sides and highlights the characteristics of Qingdao.
The two sides will also focus on education on marine culture and Qingdao’s distinctive tourist attractions and work together to introduce the Blue Tour study project, which integrates tours with marine culture education. The Blue Tour project highlights the importance of the ocean and focuses on a content model of "scenic routes + marine culture + human history + skill learning + art experience and exchange.” Based on the OUC’s concept of "famous teachers + teaching + practice + interaction,” it aims to bring marine knowledge into people's lives, transplant education into site visits, and help more people to better understand the ocean and get to know Qingdao better.
