On 6 November 2018, the opening ceremony of the training class for the Open University of China (OUC) “Long March Belt” Educational Project Targeted at Alleviating Poverty was held at the Party School of the CPC Tongdao Dong Autonomous County Committee, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. The first batch of 80 students attended the event.
According to the requirements of the overall plan and implementation plan for the “Long March Belt” Educational Project Targeted at Alleviating Poverty, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County has been included in the first 26 national pilot counties of “Long March Belt” Educational Project Targeted at Alleviating Poverty by the Open University of China (OUC). In line with the implementation plan, the OUC will carry out a three-year training project in Tongdao County.
This project is undertaken by the OUC Hunan Branch Huaihua RTVU and co-sponsored by the Organisation Department of the CPC Tongdao County Committee and the Communist Youth League Committee of Tongdao County. Three themed training classes were launched, rural e-commerce training, agricultural industrialisation management training, and the training of tour guides and interpreters for scenic spots. Multimedia teaching methods combine online and offline integration, theoretical lecturing, practical operation, and on-the-spot teaching. Lectures and courses with local characteristics will be offered for the rural e-commerce training class and renowned local e-commerce practitioners will be invited to share successful experience. Experienced managers from the planting and breeding industries will be invited to share their successful experience of agricultural industrialisation management to provide a reference model of how to achieve prosperity.
