We have learnt from the Disabled Persons’ Federation(DPF) of Hebei Province recently that the 2015 Autumn enrollment for secondary vocational education in the School for the Disabled of Hebei Radio and TV University(Hebei RTVU) is underway now.

Various kinds of people with disability at all levels(second-generation certificate for the disabled is a must)who have finished junior middle school education or above and who have the abilities and the desire for independent study or collaborative learning can log into the website of the School for the Disabled of Hebei RTVU (www.hebdpedu.cn) to register for enrollment. The registration deadline is September 30th. The recruitment will be done after approval by online registration in sequence.
The student’s learning costs, including application and examination fees and materials fees, will be shared by Hebei DPF and Hebei RTVU. After finishing the required courses under the teaching plan and achieving the required credits, the students can get their secondary vocational diploma which is recognized nationally. If the students want to continue their education, they can participate in the national entrance examination for adults and accept college education or higher education in Hebei RTVU.
The total enrollment for the secondary vocational degree education of the School for the Disabled of Hebei RTVU in autumn this year is 1,800. Five programmes including Computer Application, Management of Public Affairs in Communities, Accounting, Rehabilitation and Health Care with Chinese Traditional Medicine and the Making of National Crafts have been established and the length of the programmes is three years. According to the online registration order, after the qualification examination by the provincial DPF and Hebei RTVU and registration in the Provincial Department of Education, the applicants will be accepted as registered students of Hebei RTVU. One reminder is that, after completing the online registration form, the people with disability should also go and register in the county (municipal or district) level DPF in order to facilitate future online and offline learning, examinations, practical training, and so on.
In the spring and autumn of 2014, there were a total of 969 applicants with disability approved by provincial Department of Education in Hebei and they have become the students of the School for the Disabled of Hebei RTVU for secondary vocational degree education. All these students can obtain their secondary vocational diploma in 2017 if they complete the credits required in the teaching plan on schedule.
