On November 4, 2014, online training for large pillar enterprises of Guangdong Province (dqy.gdlll.cn) went online at the Open University of Guangdong.

Special training for large pillar enterprises of Guangdong Province is a platform affiliated with the Guangdong lifelong learning network (www.gdlll.cn). Currently, there are 54 hours of subject courses available online for the first phase, including business management, intellectual property, technical standards, and more.

The courses cater to the actual needs of large pillar enterprises in Guangdong Province, and many well-known authoritative experts in related fields have been invited to deliver lectures, such as Professor Li Chuntian, an expert in the field of standardization, Professor Wu Handong in the intellectual property field, Professor Liu Feng in the field of leadership management, etc. The management and technical elites from large pillor enterprises will attend the training.

Special training for large pillar enterprises of Guangdong Province is a platform adhering to the spirit of thoroughly implementing Guangdong Province’s Notice on the Issuance of Several Policies and Measures of Supporting the Development of Large Pillar Enterprises in 2014 (Guangdong Office Letter [2014] No. 151). This platform opens the way for the senior management and technical staff of large pillar enterprises in Guangdong Province to carry out remote training on business management, intellectual property, technical standards, and related special topics for free. The platform is cosponsored by Department of Human resources and Social Security of Guangdong Province, Economic and Information Technology Commission of Guangdong Province, Quality Supervision Bureau of Guangdong Province, and Intellectual Property Office of Guangdong Province. The platform is managed by the Open University of Guangdong.

Party Secretary of the Open University of Guangdong, Fang Jianzhuang, said that the Open University of Guangdong will continue to strengthen ties with enterprises, get to know their demands, and hire managers and experts of Guangdong well-known enterprises to provide high quality curriculum resources for enterprises and further improve their service of special training topics for large pillar enterprises.

After logging in to the platform, the participants experienced the function and learning process of training on special topics and previewed the course entitled “Building and Enhancing Corporate Leadership”, delivered by Professor Liu Feng of Chinese Academy of Governance. The participating leaders and experts had a high opinion of the first phase of construction of the online training for special topics and proposed suggestions on the in-depth development of future work.
