Anhui RTVU's official WeChat platform — “Anhui RTVU at Your Fingertips” was opened on 4 June 2014. Within the short period of just half a day, more than 300 teachers and students had already begun following with interest. After simple and fast browsing, teachers and students found that they could check the micro lecture syllabus, obtain micro notices, inquire about micro results, and participate in micro activities through the platform. “Anhui RTVU at Your Fingertips” quickly became a “small secretary” assisting the students.

The first menu of the WeChat is Micro RTVU, which is comprised of the sub-menu featuring micro introduction, micro news, cloud campus, micro trainees, and micro official website and was aimed at mainly introducing the basic structure of school administration, achievements, and campus activities of Anhui RTVU.

The second menu is for micro applications, which include sub-menus for enrollment in open education, online pre-registration, and admissions testing by mobile phone. This menu is mainly aimed at providing consulting for those looking to enroll. After the learners fill in the online pre-registration form, the teachers responsible for enrollment can contact the learners.

The third menu is micro study, which features sub-menus for micro Q&A, micro lecture syllabus, micro results, micro notices, and micro activities. Micro Q&A column will update explanations of relative policies on teaching affairs, teaching, and enrollment. Micro lecture syllabus will renew current syllabus on a timely basis. Micro results provide score inquiries and inquiries for seat number when taking exams. Micro notice will mainly publish relative notices about teaching affairs and education. Micro activities will have timely information on all kinds of activities carried out inside and outside the campus.

At present, the WeChat public platform is still in the preliminary stage of construction. At a later stage, it will perfect such functions as micro lectures, micro tests, and so on, making “Anhui RTVU at Your Fingertips” a tool bringing practical wisdom to the campus and helping students with their studies.

Since this year, based on advances in mobile networking, Anhui RTVU developed its mobile phone website and a WeChat public platform, while the online registration system is under development.
