On 24th and 25th of October, Bingtuan RTVU held its eighth “Open Teaching Class Observation” Contest, attended by 51 tutors from branch schools and the main campus. First prize went to Jiao Xinshu from the Branch School of the Sixth Division and second prizes went to Yang Yang from the Fifth Division and Sun Juelin from the Eighth Division. While Yin Yuemei from the Fourth Division, Li Rongxin from the Thirteenth Division, Tan Lijing from the Tenth Division and Liu Guoyu from the Ninth Division won the third prizes. In summarizing the contest, Vice President of Bingtuan RTVU Hou Deqiang pointed out that the contest provided a platform of mutual communication and mutual emulation for those in the teaching body, and hoped that every tutor could use the experience and knowledge learned in this observation activity in the open education teaching process. At the same time, he also talked about and expressed his expectations in regard to the development of activities in large teaching research departments, the use of cloud classrooms, construction of teaching platforms, and teaching inspection and teaching evaluation.
Bai Mingzhou, Deputy Director of the Teaching Research Department, commented on each tutor’s tutorial and recognized their creative instructional designs. Wang Hua, Director of the Teaching Research Department, thanked the tutors’ for their enthusiastic participation and careful preparation, while pointing out that continuous sessions of open teaching class observation activities had made tutors share their experiences, and a whole group of young tutors were able to train themselves and grow up professionally as a result.
The President of Bingtuan RTVU, Xu Heping, read out the decision and awarded prizes to the award-winning tutors. Tutors Liu Ming and Cheng Hui from the main campus had separately done demonstration teaching relating to two courses including “English” and “Enterprise Strategic Management”.
