29 December 2025 – The first CMG Silver Economy Gala (hereinafter referred to as the "Gala") hosted by China Media Group (CMG) was broadcast on CCTV Financial Channel. The Gala brought together relevant state ministries and commissions as well as pioneering forces in the industry, presenting a comprehensive view of the new driving forces behind the development of China’s silver economy. Ms. FAN Xianrui, Vice President of the Seniors University of China (SUC), was invited. The Choir of the Ministry of Education Branch of the SUC delivered a devoted and impressive performance.

The Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development points out that "we must actively respond to population aging and refine the policies and mechanisms for coordinating the development of elderly care programmes and industries" and "we should actively tap elderly human resources and develop the silver economy", which has set a clear direction for the silver economy. Focusing on the silver economy industry, the Gala showcased new consumption scenarios, shared new age-friendly technologies, explored new talent demands, and depicted a new prospect for the development of China’s silver economy.
Elderly students from the affiliated college of the SUC and the branch campus affiliated to the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television participated in the Gala. Their energetic and positive demeanour fully reflected the vitality and charm of the elderly in the new era, adding a bright and inspiring presence to the Gala.
