On 30th March 2010, Mr. Zhang Daliang, the Director-General of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, and Ms. Liu Ying, the Director

of the Division of Distance and Continuing Education of the Ministry of Education, conducted on-the-spot investigational research at the OUC. President of the OUC, Professor Ge Daokai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the OUC, Mr. Zhang Hui, Vice President of the OUC, Professor Li Linshu and other persons in charge of related sectors accompanied them during their investigation.

President Ge Daokai introduced the reform and development of the OUC in recent years and exchanged views with Director-General Zhang Daliang on the implementation of the National Outline for Medium- and Long-term Education Reform and Development.

Director-General Zhang Daliang also paid a visit to the Learner Support Centre, the Video-Conferencing Centre, the Faculty of Agroforestry & Medicine, and the Test Centre of the OUC, asking questions about problem-solving at a distance, resource construction work of the "One-College-Student-for-One-Village" Project, student examination-paper security, and other work-related matters.
