Liu Zhanrong arrived at China Central Radio and TV University (CCRTVU) in 1994, having just graduated from Northeast Normal University. In the 19 years that he has worked at CCRTVU (now the OUC) he has become a true “elder” of the university. He first started as a teacher at the School of Foreign Languages, and later worked as the director of the Teaching and Research Section, assistant dean, and then vice dean.
Champion Paralympic blind swimmer, Yang Bozun, has dived into his new role as an English teacher at Radio and TV University (RTVU). Yang spent half of his first day teaching and explaining clearly key points of two units to students. He also shared personal experiences with the class, drawing laughter from time to time.

Guo Shirong, 34, is a female rural mathematics teacher. She teaches Class One of Grade Six at Yuxian Township Primary School in Caidian District of Wuhan, Hubei Province. During the 2011 autumn semester, she enrolled as a major in the undergraduate Chinese Language and Literature programme at Caidian School of Wuhan Radio and Television University (RTVU).
Niu Tao, a teacher from the Open University of China (OUC), won the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning's “Capital City Outstanding Public Art Award” for his mural Jin Tai at Sunset, which is featured in the Jintailu Station of Metro Line 6.
Co-hosted by the Central Civilization Office and Chinese Civilization Network, “Best Chinese People” Awards in May have been announced recently. Lan Suwen, a student of Wencheng Branch of Zhejiang Radio & TV University (Zhejiang RTVU) who enrolled in the autumn of 2011 and majored in law, was selected as one of the “Most Dedicated Chinese People”.
