ZHONG Tuanyu, She ethnicity, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC). She enrolled in the 2022 Spring Semester Administrative Management programme (Rural Management direction) at Fu’an Open University. ZHONG currently serves as the Party Branch Secretary and Director of Village Committee, and Chairperson of the Village Women's Federation of Jindouyang Village, Fu’an City, Fujian Province. She also holds the position of Part-time Vice Chairperson of the Fu’an Federation of Women. In 2025, she was honoured with the title of “National March 8th Red Banner Holder.”

Located on the banks of the Muyang River, Jindouyang Village is renowned as the "Hometown of She Ethnic Martial Arts," with a registered population of over 1,000. As a leading inheritor of Jindouyang She ethnic boxing, ZHONG integrates her martial arts insights into her work. She led village Party committee members and village committees on study tours to other rural areas in Fujian and beyond, drawing lessons that helped shape a clear development strategy: "taking pride in martial arts and revitalising the village through martial arts." Determined to use She ethnic boxing as a flagship brand, she took the lead in promoting the deep integration of She ethnic traditional culture protection and rural revitalisation, guiding fellow villagers to revitalise the village through martial arts and "fight" their way to new moves for She village revitalisation.
Since being elected a deputy to the NPC, ZHONG has actively advocated for the protection and inheritance of She ethnic culture and comprehensive rural revitalisation. A batch of livelihood projects, including the village mutual-aid canteen for the elderly and tea garden production roads, have been gradually implemented and yielded results through her appeals and promotion. Last year, Jindouyang Village received over 40,000 tourists, and collective economic income exceeded 500,000 yuan. The once remote She village has transformed into a renowned "Top-Rated Martial Arts Tourism Village."
Taking intangible cultural heritage as the brush and duty performance as the ink, ZHONG is writing a new chapter in She village revitalisation. During this year's National Two Sessions, ZHONG entered the Great Hall of the People with recommendations on culture and tourism empowering rural revitalisation. ZHONG carries the mission of inheritance on her shoulders and the people's well-being at heart. Her mission is to bring She ethnic culture to life, boost rural industries, and enrich villagers' lives.
ZHONG said, "I will continue to focus on people's livelihoods, rural revitalisation, and the development of ethnic minority areas. I will fulfil the important duties of an NPC deputy in connecting with the masses and reflecting public opinion, and contribute a share of strength from the She village to advancing Chinese modernisation."
