The delegation from the Open University of China (OUC), led by Wang Qiming, the Party Committee's secretary and president, and accompanied by Fan Xianrui, a member of the Party Committee and vice president, undertook an investigative visit to the Qinzhou Academy of Shanghai University for the Elderly on 8th September 2023.

Key representatives from Shanghai Open University (OU) and Shanghai University for the Elderly were present, including Jia Wei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Shanghai OU, Zheng Yihui, vice president of Shanghai OU and president of Shanghai University for the Elderly, and Peng Haihong, secretary of the Party Branch Committee and executive vice president of Shanghai University for the Elderly.

The delegation examined the current operations of the school at Shanghai University for the Elderly. They conducted a field visit to the exhibition hall dedicated to senior education in Shanghai and observed various learning and activity locations, including the "happy learning lectures," "smart learning experiential classroom," and traditional classrooms. Their investigation focused on planning and management, organisational structures, course offerings, construction of the teaching team, teaching facilities, and the overall state of education and teaching.
