On 14 May 2023, the Open University of China, as one of the test centres for the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), hosted the first post-pandemic HSK test at its Weigongcun Campus.

The OUC test centre provides testing services for HSK level III and VI and HSKK (speaking test) primary and intermediate levels. Thirty-four international students from UK, Malaysia, Pakistan, Kenya and more registered and took the exams at the OUC test centre.

To ensure the smooth implementation of the test, staff members made careful preparations such as checking and adjusting the facilities and taking the time to guide and lead the test takers. On the day of the test, they ensured that the test takers entered the test room in order before having their ID information verified. After the test was completed, the invigilators made related finishing touches in a timely manner.
