Since the Notice on Launching the Selection of 2022 Outstanding Graduates was published in October 2022, OUC branches and their corresponding schools have been actively organising the selection and recommendation of graduates.
A total of 667 candidates were recommended to the OUC headquarters. On 26 April 2023, the OUC arranged a review of the application materials by an expert panel consisted of teachers from general higher education institutions and the OUC headquarters and its educational system.
Following the expert review and publicity process, it was decided that Wang Zhe and 664 other students would be awarded the title of 2022 OUC Outstanding Graduate.
The outstanding graduates selected for 2022 are studious, hard-working, have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, and have made essential contributions to their community. They come from all walks of life and represent a variety of professions, including grassroots workers, farmers, teachers, police officers, medical workers, and soldiers from frontier areas, as well as athletes who are gold-medal winners , leaders and cadres dedicated to serving people, and experts entitled to special government subsidies of the State Council. No matter their occupation or position, they have all contributed to society and deserve public recognition. Many of the graduates have already received honorary titles such as National May 1st Labour Medal, National Technical Expert, National Role Model of Ethnic Unity and Progress, Outstanding CPC Member. They have become social role models and have been recognized and praised by the society.
The OUC hope that the students being commended will cherish and value this honour and take it as an incentive to work even harder in their future study and work and strive to make even greater achievements. It is hoped that other students including graduates will learn from the examples of the outstanding graduates and spare no efforts in their school work and achieving higher goals and ideals in order to become qualified and reliable talents that can serve China.
