Ding Lufeng is an excellent driver, and works on the No. 8 line of the No. 3 branch of the Tianjin Bus Company. In July 2014, he entered Tianjin Radio and Television University (Tianjin RTVU) to study for an undergraduate degree in Administration Management, and graduated in July 2016. During his studies, he worked hard, and was focused on practice. He has been awarded a National May 1st Labour Medal and Ministry of Transport Socialist Core Values Award for his contributions to the cause of public transport.
For the most part, Ding Lufeng was able to balance the demands of his studies and his work, and when he had to miss a class, would call the teacher to be brought up to date. He would study on his own to make up for what he had missed, following the appropriate study methods and taking notes on important content. He studied office management and the five essential points of driver service, namely, to smile, to be careful, to be amicable, to be active, and to be diligent. In his spare time, he often studied on the internet and in books or journals independently. When he encountered something he did not understand, he would do his best to figure it out and gain improvement.
At work, Ding Lufeng is serious, responsible and steadfast, and his passengers feel at home. In 2011, his bus was equipped with a guestbook as a way for the passengers to communicate with him. Whatever a passenger wrote, whether a compliment, criticism or suggestion, he would reply to. On his initiative, due to the effectiveness of this, each of the 20 buses on his line was equipped with a guestbook, drawing the attention of local media. He is creative, detail-oriented, and good at finding and solving problems. He often discusses service enhancement with his colleagues, including service for elderly passengers and safe ways to save fuel. He and his colleagues were particularly successful this year in terms of finding the optimal method of operating the new hybrid electric vehicles.
Ding Lufeng began studying at Tianjin Hongqiao RTVU in 2011, and soon after began putting his learning to practical use. Both passengers and company leaders reacted positively, and he has been named a “Municipal Model Worker” and won a May 1st Labour Medal, second prize in a Bus Group speech contest, and other awards. In addition, he was selected a representative to the 10th Tianjin City Party Congress for his contributions to the cause of public transport.
