The outstanding audio-visual teaching series Lectures on Chinese Culture and The History of Chinese Literature have been selected as open classes for the China E-Learning Academy for Leadership (hereinafter referred to as the “Academy”). The courses were added to the website of the Academy a few days ago. The two courses will play a unique role in cultivating a taste for culture and improving the quality of educational training for national leaders.
Through the website of the Academy, users can access excellent courses such as The Beauty of Chinese Poetry taught by Mr. Ye Jiaying; The Artistic Characteristics of Chinese Sculpture taught by Mr. Qian Shaowu; and ‘Dream of the Red Chamber’ and Chinese Culture, taught by Mr. Zhou Ruchang.
Now that the above two series have been selected for the Academy, another 12 OUC micro-courses will be selected to become online learning courses for the education of China’s national leaders.
The Academy is organized by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCCPC), jointly organized by the Organization Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and supported by China Telecom. This Academy mainly targets leaders at or above county level, providing them with lectures, specialized training, convergence training, and other optional courses. It is an online learning and management platform for leaders at the national level. Its functions include: information distribution, online learning, teaching evaluation, training management, course sharing, and communication and interaction. In this way, it facilitates leaders to participate in learning through various methods.
