In order to enhance projects participating in China's "Internet plus" competition and the competitiveness of the Open University of China (OUC), prepare for the 7th China International Internet Plus College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (provincial level), and promote learning, innovation, entrepreneurship and teaching through competition, the OUC held a training camp in Qingdao, Shandong, on 16 and 17 July 2021. 51 teachers and students from 12 local branches and colleges participated.
The training involved both theory and simulated competition, with a focus on the rules and preparation, building teams, and defining the innovation and entrepreneurship of projects in local terms.
Shi Jianjun, Party-committee member and vice president of Qingdao Open University (Qingdao OU); Zhang Li, director of the School of Entrepreneurship Education at Qingdao OU; Chao Jinpeng, expert member of the China International Internet-plus College-student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and vice president of the New Future Education-research Institute; and Li Yaoxing, a national instructor for the competition, attended the opening ceremony.
The training, content-rich and detailed, gave trainees a deep understanding of the competition rules while broadening their horizons in terms of teaching entrepreneurship and innovation, while also showing them the shortcomings of their previous work.
